Quest 52: May 3

This week’s devotionals are from the “Power of Jesus” series in Mark Moore’s Quest 52. For this series, we are looking at Jesus’ miracles. They are full of wonders, signs, and claims. His miracles point to both his identity and his ultimate purpose. Slow down, read the text, and then let the text read you.

Meditate on these pieces of scripture:

Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was, 8will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious?
2 CORINTHIANS 3:7

And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death— even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
PHILIPPIANS 2:8-11

For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty. He received honor and glory from God the Father when the voice came to him from the Majestic Glory, saying, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” We ourselves heard this voice that came from heaven when we were with him on the sacred mountain.
2 PETER 1:16-18
