This week’s devotionals are from the “Person of Jesus” series in Mark Moore’s Quest 52. For this series, we are looking to the person of Jesus trying to discover where he came from and what drove him to his destiny of death. For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.

ROMANS 1:16

Where is the wise person? Where is the teacher of the law? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?
1 CORINTHIANS 1:20

Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness in God’s sight. As it is written: “He catches the wise in their craftiness.”
1 CORINTHIANS 3:18-19
