Behold: December 9

This week’s readings are based on the “Behold” sermon series. For this series, we are looking at what it truly means to BEHOLD, gaze at, grasp, relish, internalize, and rejoice in Jesus Christ. Start beholding right now by giving thanks for this time with God. Then start reading the text and letting it read you.

Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.
Proverbs 3:5-6 (MSG)

This week, we have looked at a few moments from the lives of Joseph and Mary. Both experienced fear and doubts as they listened to the Voice of God. But, both stepped out and faithfully followed that Voice. It’s no wonder that God chose these people to be the earthly parents of Jesus. It’s one thing to hear the voice of God. It’s a whole different, life-changing story responding to what you are hearing. How are you responding in obedience to the Voice of God? Is there something God is calling you to that you are hesitant to follow? Prayerfully ponder this today.
