This week’s readings are based on the “Behold” sermon series. For this series, we are looking at what it truly means to BEHOLD, gaze at, grasp, relish, internalize, and rejoice in Jesus Christ. Start beholding right now by giving thanks for this time with God. Then start reading the text and letting it read you.
Prince Of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6 (ESV)
The Son of God entered the scene to abolish the Devil’s ways.
1 John 3:8 (MSG)
He is the Prince of Peace. There is one thing that we can all agree on, we live in a world that is broken and filled with conflict and uncertainty. But, when we encounter the Wonderful Counselor, the Mighty God, and the Everlasting Father, that’s when we know the Prince of Peace. It is through Jesus that we can experience the richness of God's peace. We can have peace with God through the forgiveness and reconciliation found in the cross. As a result, we can live with the peace of God that comes through His redemptive work in our lives.
Where do you need peace right now? Peace isn’t the absence of conflict, but knowing God is present in the midst of it. Spend time sitting with God in prayer, inviting Him to bring peace.
