2to1 Mentoring connects you and your fiancé with a married mentor couple who has maturity in their relationship with God and with each other. Mentor couples are not licensed counselors. They are volunteers that have a heart to encourage, guide, and help couples to prepare for marriage and the journey ahead.
Together you will meet with your mentor couple for 6 sessions during the months leading up to your wedding. These sessions are based on biblical principles to help you prepare and have conversations concerning key marriage relationship areas: communication, conflict, finances, intimacy, family, and more.
Prerequisites
- You are currently engaged
- Your wedding date is more than six months away
- One (or both) of you call Northside your home church
What does 2to1 require of us?
Time
You will be asked to invest the time necessary to complete the process, take a Prepare/Enrich online inventory, and attend 6 sessions with your mentor couple.
Cost
There is a $50 fee, which covers the online assessment and materials for mentoring.
Preparation
It is critical that you begin the 2to1 process at least 6 months prior to your wedding. This gives you adequate time to work with your mentor couple and helps us to pair couples with available mentors.
Step 1
You can register at the link below. Through this form, you will pay the $50 fee for the Prepare/Enrich online assessment and 2to1 materials.
Step 2
Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation email with instructions to complete the Prepare/Enrich online assessment. It will take about an hour to complete, and is very helpful in evaluating a couple’s strengths and growth areas.
Step 3
After completing the online assessment, you will be assigned a 2to1 Mentor Couple, who will contact you about your initial meeting.
