Hi, my name is Albert Nordhoff and I lead a Men's Life Group on Thursday evenings. I have been a Christian for over 25 years and my wife, Teresa, and I have been members of NCC since 2015. My wife and I have been married for 33 years and have 2 adult children. Our son and daughter both currently live in Georgia. Our daughter and son-in-law just had their first child last year so we are now proud grandparents as well.
I have been attending men's groups for about 5 years but have just recently had a change in my job that allowed me the time to step in as a leader. The group that I lead is made up of men of different ages and backgrounds, some are newer in their faith and others have been Christians for years. Regardless, we are all still learning and growing in our faith together. We enjoy sharing experiences and laughter as we help each other to become the men that God has called us to be.

Personally, these are all daily challenges, but meeting with other men makes it easier.
I have years of experience studying God’s word and leading small groups. My passion for God’s word can only be surpassed by the joy of discussing its truth with others. My other joy is spending time with my three adult children. I am a sports fan of football, basketball, and auto racing. I enjoy playing cards with friends and family, especially euchre. I also enjoy the outdoors and fishing.

Our Life Group has been meeting for a couple years. We are all hungry to learn more about Jesus' character, His plan for our lives, and ways to serve Him. We meet on Wednesday evenings and have pitch-in snacks beforehand while we share praises of what God has done that week. Hi and thanks for checking out our group! We have attended Northside since 2012. Our hobbies center around the outdoors: swimming, boating, camping, traveling (love the beach!), reading, and more. We don’t have kids yet, but it is in our hearts to start a family in God’s timing. We lost our first child to stillbirth in 2020, and have been on our fertility journey for over 6 years now. If you’ve gone through a season of miscarriage, stillbirth, and/or IVF our heart goes out to you. We want to create a group where we can share life (ups & downs), grow, and journey through life together. The heart of our group is to open up, be there for, and grow together. We share a vision for facilitating a group that can share the hurts and joys life brings, centering ourselves in God‘s Word. Rick has been the Adult Ministries Pastor here at Northside since May of 2021. He is married and has one daughter who just graduated college and got Married. Rick is originally from Connecticut and his wife Susie is originally from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, but they most recently arrived from Texas where he served as a Campus Pastor in Lubbock, TX. Rick is a huge sports fan and love all things outdoors. He believes God has a unique plan and purpose for all of us and loves to help people step into their calling and live the full life that God has for each of us.
Paul and his wife, Belinda, have raised three sons and have 6 grandchildren. Paul loves to teach the Bible and share the Lord’s word with people. Paul has worked in various occupations including preaching ministry, childcare, and currently on the facilities team at Northside. As a Northside Men Group Leader, Paul encourages everyone to fully participate in discussion at the level they choose, to ask any question, and to enjoy the fellowship of the group.
