Jesus Money 2010

Our 2,3,4, and 5 year olds have collected over $1000 in Jesus Money just since the beginning of the year! This money is divided between our local mission (Noah’s Ark Children’s Village) and our global mission (Forget Me Not Ministries). It’s great to see our little ones giving so freely and we hope the idea of giving back to God stays with them their entire lifetime.

Northside’s Early Childhood (EC) Ministry believes strongly in partnering with parents to help kids Discover God’s Love & God’s Word. We realize it is a parent’s primary responsibility to lead their kids on their spiritual journey (Deuteronomy 6), and we love being a part of that journey with you. We value family ministry so much that we create activities such as Camp Discover, Baby Dedication, Parent Night Out, etc…where we can team up to bring God’s love & His Word to our kids every chance we get. Thank you so much for being a part of that with us!

Here are some other ways in which we value Family Ministry in the EC area at Northside:

allowing children to worship with parents anytime in big church, especially during Christmas eve services each year
we invite parents into our classrooms anytime to see how their kids are learning and growing alongside others their age
our curriculum is designed so that children in all age groups are learning the same Bible happenings as often as possible
lots of families choose to serve together in the EC area
our check in system allows families to check in to our programs quickly and easily
offering parenting classes at Northside so that we all can parent our children God’s way

Queen Esther

“Queen Esther, what is your request? It will be given you. What is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be granted.” Then Queen Esther answered, “If I have found favor with you, O king, and if it pleases your majesty, grant me my life—this is my request. And spare my people—this is my request.”

Queen Esther graced us with her presence this past weekend in Large Group. She taught us how she changed the law to kill all of the Jews with God’s help!

I was talking to Samuel, my 3 yr old son, about why John baptized Jesus and what it meant to get baptized. And he said, “I love Jesus and want to follow Him. Can I be baptized?” I love it! It was so precious.

Camp Discover 2010 Was A Huge Success!!

Camp Discover was a huge success with 112 kiddos and their parents, plus the innumerable volunteers that made it happen! Our night was full of snacks, games, Bible stories, and bouncers.

Queen Esther, Samson, Noah, Farmer Sissy, Miss Sissy, and Miss Frizzy all came to visit us and teach us more about the Bible! We played hide and go seek in Large Group with El Bib, and he taught us to hide God’s word in our hearts. The night ended with a Veggie tales movie all about Bible heroes and a few snoring dads! We started the next morning off bright and early with pancakes for the kids and lots of coffee for the adults!

We hope you enjoyed the night and that you will always hide God’s word in your heart. Psalm 119:11
